Stackpad Terms of Use

Last updated: 18 October 2026

These terms are an agreement between you and Skerryapps ("we", "us") for the Android app Stackpad (the "app"). By tapping Agree in the app, or by installing or using it, you agree to these terms and confirm that you have read our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, don't install or use the app.

If you are under the age of majority where you live, use the app only with the permission of a parent or guardian, who then agrees to these terms for you.

Google is not a party to these terms. Google Play's own terms also apply to downloading the app and to purchases.

1. License

We give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the app on Android devices you own or control, for your own use, including at work. The app, its designs, name and icon stay ours. You may not resell it, rent it out, or offer it as a service to others, and you may not:

The app may include open-source components governed by their own license terms.

2. Changes to the app

The app is under active development. We may at any time, and without notice unless the law requires it:

We make such changes for valid reasons, such as new Android versions, launcher or system changes, Google Play rules, security, performance, legal requirements, costs, or the development of the product. Because the app relies on Android system interfaces, accessibility services, third-party widgets and third-party launchers, an update to Android, your device, a widget's app or your launcher may change or break how the app or some of its features work without any change on our part. We don't promise any future feature, update or fix, or any level of support, except where the law requires it.

3. Free trial of compatibility and Pro

The app lets you test its core features, device compatibility, hosted widgets and launcher behavior for free before buying anything. The app may offer Pro, a one-time purchase made through Google Play (not a subscription), which removes free quantity limits (such as the number of stacks or cards you can add) or unlocks additional options as offered at the time.

Because Android devices, system skins (such as One UI, HyperOS, ColorOS or Pixel UI), third-party widgets and launchers behave differently and can restrict widget hosting, gestures or background services, you must verify that the app, swipe gestures and the specific widgets you want to use work properly on your phone and launcher using the free version before buying Pro. Buying Pro unlocks limits or options in the app as it already works on your device; it does not change how the app interacts with your phone, widgets or launcher, and it does not guarantee that the app or any feature or third-party widget will work on a particular device, Android version or launcher, or continue to work if you change phones, launchers or system software.

Pro is tied to the Google account you bought it with. Which limits or features are part of Pro can change as described in section 2. We won't move something you have already paid for into a separate new purchase. Pro doesn't include our other apps or any separate future product.

Google Play handles payment, taxes and refunds under its own terms. Pro can usually be restored with the same Google account. By buying Pro you ask for it to be unlocked at once and acknowledge that, where the law allows, you then lose the right to withdraw from the purchase, as shown when you buy.

If a change we make takes away a substantial part of what you paid for in Pro, you keep the rights the law gives you in that case.

Pro or higher limits given for free, for example to users who installed the app before Pro was introduced or by a promo code, are a gratuitous gift. They follow the same rules, we may set conditions for them, they may be lost if you uninstall the app, clear its data or change phones, and they don't entitle you to a refund, replacement or payment. We may end a free grant if we have a valid reason, such as abuse or the end of a promotion. We won't take away Pro you paid for except as this section describes.

4. Device, launcher and third-party widget compatibility

A stack can host widgets of other apps, and the app works as an Android home-screen widget inside your launcher. Third-party widgets, their content, accuracy and behavior are the responsibility of their developers. We do not guarantee compatibility with any specific phone model, manufacturer skin, Android version, launcher or third-party widget. Some launchers, system skins or third-party widgets do not support standard Android widget hosting, gesture detection, background updates or interactive taps, and we have no control over or responsibility for those limitations.

5. Permissions and accessibility service

Some features need the accessibility service, which you turn on yourself. The app explains what it is for before you turn it on. It is optional, and you can turn it off at any time in Android's settings. Some features stop working without it.

6. Your use of the app

7. No warranty

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the app is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties, representations or conditions of any kind, express, implied or statutory, including any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, non-infringement, accuracy, availability, security or error-free operation. It depends on Android, your device, third-party widgets and your launcher, which we don't control, so we don't promise that any feature works on every device or launcher, or keeps working after their updates.

This section doesn't limit any mandatory rights you have as a consumer by law that can't be excluded, such as the legal guarantee of conformity for digital products you paid for in the EU.

8. Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, punitive or consequential loss or damages, or for any loss of data, content, notes, photos, profits, revenue, business, time, goodwill or opportunity, or for missed alarms, events or reminders, or for device, camera flash, battery or screen wear, or for the behavior or content of third-party widgets, apps or launchers, arising out of or related to your use of or inability to use the app or these terms, regardless of the theory of liability and even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total cumulative liability for all claims arising out of or related to the app or these terms will not exceed the amount you actually paid us for the app in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim — or, if you have not paid anything for the app, zero (or the minimum amount required by applicable law if a complete exclusion of liability is not permitted).

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, for gross negligence or willful misconduct, or under mandatory consumer protection or product liability laws.

9. Feedback

If you send us ideas, suggestions or bug reports, we may use them freely, without any obligation or payment to you. This doesn't affect your rights in personal data you send, which the Privacy Policy covers.

10. Ending

You can stop using the app at any time by uninstalling it. We may end your license if you materially break these terms, for example by getting around Pro checks, after notice where it is reasonable to give it, or if we stop offering the app. If we end the license because you broke these terms, you are not entitled to a refund except where the law requires one. Sections 1, 6 to 9 and 11 to 13 continue after the license ends.

11. Changes to these terms

We may change these terms, for example when we change the app, the law changes, or our business changes. We will publish the new version at this address with a new date and, where the law requires it, let you know in a reasonable way, for example in the app. A material change to features you have paid for will be shown in the app before it applies. If you keep using the app after a change, and after we have told you where we must, you accept it to the extent the law allows that. If you don't, stop using and uninstall the app. A change doesn't take away rights you have by law.

12. Law and disputes

If you are a consumer, you keep the protection of the mandatory laws of the country where you live, you may bring a claim in its courts, and we may bring a claim against you only there where the law says so. Otherwise these terms are governed by the laws of Malta (excluding its conflict-of-laws rules), and disputes go to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Malta. Where permitted by applicable law, any claim must be brought individually and not as part of a class, collective or representative action, and must be brought within one year after the cause of action arises (unless mandatory law gives you a longer period). Before going to court, please write to us: most problems can be solved by email.

13. General

We are not responsible for any failure or delay caused by events beyond our reasonable control, including changes to Android, devices, third-party apps, launchers or Google Play. If a court finds part of these terms invalid or unenforceable, that part will be enforced to the maximum extent permissible and the rest stays in full effect. If we don't enforce a right, we don't give it up. You may not transfer these terms or your license to someone else. We may transfer them, for example to a company that takes over the app, without reducing your rights. The English version of these terms and the Privacy Policy controls if a translation differs. These terms and the Privacy Policy are the whole agreement between you and us about the app.
